第32届柬埔寨东运会则于2023年5月5日至17日举行，第33届泰国东运会将于2025年在曼谷举行，但日期和赛项等将在稍后确定。
今年7月，原定于11月21日至12月2日举行的第31届东运会因新冠疫情而议决推迟到明年。
